A Rosebud
I see you as a rosebud
somewhat tried yet barely grown
exposed to Heaven’s teardrops
and teardrops of your own.
-
The outer bloom came early
yet inner just begun
protect your inner beauty,
until you are ready to face the sun.
-
Many would pluck a rosebud
to see it wither and die so young,
but I would nurture carefully
until the battles of life are won.
-
Remember that the Gardner
governs the way you grow,
seek to ever please him
who watches you below.
-
From afar I would admire
the beauty of a rose,
unfolding in it’s sweetness,
and lovely as it grows.
